Education Background: My early education began at Woodlawn Elementary School and continued on at Holy Redeemer Catholic School. This was followed by four years at Central Catholic High School. I later earned a B.S. in early childhood/elementary education from Western Oregon University, and in 2010 I received a M.Ed (with a middle school math endorsement) from the University of Portland.
Professional: I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher in the Gresham-Barlow School District. I taught fourth and fifth grade for eight years at All Saints School. I then taught fourth grade for one year at Holy Redeemer Catholic School and I am currently in my third year at Willamette Primary School in West Linn where I teach fourth graders.
Personal: I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. My wife Emily and I have a six year old daughter, Ellie, and a three year old daughter, Lucy.
Tidbits: I love playing, watching, and teaching basketball. I would rather ride my bike than drive my car. I enjoy filming and editing videos with my daughters. My favorite things about my hometown are the Trail Blazers, hiking in Forest Park, and all the incredible food. I love yard work like pulling weeds, pruning bushes, planting plants, and landscaping which was passed down to me by my mom. I’m a fan of comedy and try to incorporate laughter into as much of life as I can. I also love to cook and am teaching my daughters how to get around in the kitchen.
